There is a big part of me which feels uncomfortable carrying on as normal when the world is in such turmoil. It somehow seems shallow and insensitive, but at the same time we have to keep going, and do what we can to help. It may not be much but for the next week I am donating 10% of Fino sales to the British Red Cross Ukraine Appeal – if at all possible please do consider placing an order now as every little bit will make a difference. My thoughts are so with everyone who is affected.
It has been quite a long time coming but finally it’s arrived! This is me this morning taking delivery of three big pallets of delicious new season extra virgin olive oil - it is on the website and ready for you to order. Having tasted it I promise you it is delicious.
I am keen to free up space in Global HQ for the new arrival so I am selling the last few bottles and tins of last season’s olive oil at 20% discount. SPINACH PANCAKES WITH SMOKED TROUT
I know Pancake Day has been and gone but I did this Spinach Pancakes with Smoked Trout recipe (which I found in Olive Magazine) for our supper on Tuesday and it was so good. I am not sure why we only tend to eat pancakes on Pancake Day because they are so easy and so delicious - I suggest you don't wait until next year! I love the colours of this, the wonderful green from the spinach together with the scrummy pink of the smoked trout (I used my favourite from Black Mountain Smokery and I highly recommend it). Give it a go and I hope you enjoy it like we did.
